Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Hours of work: We can be flexible for the right candidate, with a minimum of 3 days (22.5 hrs) and a maximum of 4 days (30 hrs) per week.

 

Responsible to: The Chair of Trustees

 

Responsible for: All Home-Start South Warwickshire employees

 

Salary: £34,834 - £40,648 (pro rata) depending on experience

 

Contract: 18-month fixed term contract

 

Overview: 

 

To provide vision and dynamic leadership to Home-Start South Warwickshire, driving growth and enhancing our early years work with families.  Working with the Board of Trustees to develop the strategic direction of the charity, the CEO is responsible for operational and financial leadership and for identifying opportunities to ensure the charity thrives. 

 

Our vision is of a society where all children have the support they need from their parents for a positive, nurturing start in life.

 

Person Specification:

 

You will have:

 

• The passion for making the lives of children and families better

•  Have demonstrable experience of leading, developing and motivating a team, including both employed staff and volunteers

• Relevant experience of fundraising and are confident in identifying funding opportunities

• Relevant experience of submitting funding applications, managing a funding pipeline and reporting back to funders to ensure we are meeting grant requirements

• Confidence in developing relationships and partnerships with local businesses and donors

• Experience of engaging with a variety of stakeholders in local authorities and commissioning bodies to build relationships, improve referral processes and develop collaborative approaches to improve opportunities for local families

• Excellent planning and organisational skills

• The ability to understand, prepare, present, explain and analyse statistical information

• Experience of the charity/volunteer sector

• Knowledge of and commitment to equal opportunities, anti-discriminatory practice and knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults

• Good IT skills with MS Office and databases

• Eligibility to work in the UK
